With just one day in the Rally Dos Sertoes, Marc Coma and Jordi Viladoms passed the finishing line today without having had any complications, in second and sixth position respectively. As has become usual in this rally, the stage started with a slow, technical zone, with quite a lot of vegetation. Through a swampy zone, with sandy tracks and some muddy points. Indeed that is why after 120km the organisers of the special had declare that the special stage had ended, since one of the fords was too difficult for the some of the participants, especially the cars.
Tomorrow, the last stage of the rally will take place, with the goal being to reach Natal, the participants will have to tackle a 120km. special over sandy tracks, along the white sand of beautiful Brazilian beaches. Marc ComaThe stage went quite smoothly, with a very technical special with a little navigation needed, although nothing too complicated. I tried to keep up a good pace. The objective was to finish without any problems, because tomorrow is the last day. As this was an especially slow special there were no problems with the tyres, mine held up well, and we had no problems with the dust either, because we went along a very twisty track through a zone with a lot of of vegetation.Jordi ViladomsI did another stage without taking too many risks, but looking to keep up a constant fast pace. We are making use of the kilometres we are doing and getting to know the stages a little, just in case next year we have a bit more luck at the start of the race. The beginning of today`s stage was very slow, very enduro, with a lot of stones, which made the bike work a lot. So, even though it was a short stage, it seemed longer. And there was a bit of navigation and it you had to stay alert. Towards the end it became faster, along sandy tracks, and it was more fun, until the organisers stopped us. I am pleased because at least I have not had any frights or suffered any damage, and everything went well.
