The second scheduled test day at Motorland Aragón has ended without any problems for Marc Márquez, who rapidly adapted to the fast speed of the Aragón circuit. The Repsol rider shaved almost one second off yesterday’s times; he ended testing at lunchtime, closing two days of testing on which he has constantly topped the timesheets, today with a advantage of more than eight-tenths over his nearest rival.
The Repsol rider is so in tune with his bike that he quickly managed to set a fast pace, which he then maintained. Focusing on fine-tuning his Derbi RSA to finish adapting it to the features of the Alcañiz track, today, Marc Márquez and his team tested a different gear ratio set-up as well as different adjustments to the suspension.
Emilio Alzamora’s protégé went out on the track just after nine o’clock in the morning in order to make the most of the time of the day when the temperatures are not too high. With less wind than yesterday, the thermometer quickly reached 30ºC and after 37 laps, Márquez and his team ended testing at the Aragón track.
With a nine day break ahead, the Repsol rider will get back on his number 93 Derbi on Friday next week, in the first practice session for the German Grand Prix at Sachsenring.

“Today, we went out early because we now know the circuit and wanted to test different adjustments that we were analysing with the team yesterday afternoon. We also tried a different gear ratio and found a good solution. We were able to keep up the pace well, testing some things and rejecting others and we eventually finished after 37 laps. That’s not many but we’ve tested everything we wanted to well because it’s better to do few laps but do them well. Since a few races ago, we’ve managed to get a good base set-up on the bike and that helps us to quickly feel comfortable. The team knows me very well and knows how to rapidly give me what I need. We are progressing in every practice and I have felt comfortable on both days in Aragón. I think we’ve done a good job, so when we come here in September, we’ll have it fairly clear”.
