Dani Pedrosa receives the Aragon fans in his ‘office’

The Repsol rider signed autographs in his Repsol Honda Team box, placed in a commercial centre in Zaragoza

This morning, the sixth floor of a large department store in the centre of the Aragon capital was converted into the Repsol Honda Team box, in which Dani Pedrosa received hundreds of fans who turned up to meet their idol. Just 24 hours before the practice sessions of the thirteenth event in the MotoGP World Championships begin, the passion and affection for the Repsol rider, winner of the last two races, could be felt in the heart of Zaragoza.

For the third time this season, the MotoGP World Championships land in Spain, an opportunity which Dani Pedrosa did not want to miss to get close to his loyal supporters in the ‘maña’ capital, who have had the unbeatable opportunity to meet their idol. Sat in his own box, with the same bike on which he was crowned Second in the World in 2007, Pedrosa did not stop signing autographs for the fans who were able to see what a competition box looks like from the inside, a space that is vital for any team competing in the World Championships. Like in an operating theatre, the cleanliness and order are fundamental inside the box as it is there where the teams handle the highest technology to get the fastest motorbikes on the planet out onto the track.

The Repsol Honda Team box can be visited on the 6th floor of El Corte Inglés on Paseo Independencia from the 9th to the 18th September. In addition, in one of the window displays of the El Corte Inglés centre in Sagaste, another of Pedrosa’s motorbikes can be seen, alongside the Repsol rider’s competition leathers who, from tomorrow, will be competing at the Motorland Aragon track, a venue opened just a year ago and which welcomes for the first time an event of the calibre of the MotoGP World Championships.

On repsol.com, the Aragon Grand Prix comes laden with new features. The most innovative of all being the 3D Box, an exclusive space in three dimensions so that all the followers and fans can experience the motorcycle racing and competition trackside. From the Repsol team’s own box, passing along the pit lane and the finish line, all the areas that make up a Grand Prix can be discovered in depth. Enjoying it is as easy as picking up some 3D glasses in the service stations close to the circuit, at the Fundación Repsol stand and simulator, both located inside the circuit and, at El Corte Inglés in Zaragoza .

In addition, all that happens with the Repsol riders at Alcañiz can be followed minute by minute from Box_Repsol on Facebook and on Twitter.
