The three candidates of Repsol, ready to fight tomorrow for the victory and the title
Second session of qualified practices and the Repsol pilots with options to get the here title seem ready not to let pass this first occasion. Dani Pedrosa in 125 GP and Valentino Rossi in MotoGP have carried out a good qualified practice, while their most direct rivals have not had brilliant performances. In MotoGP, Rossi has scored his best time again this afternoon, while Gibernau didn’t exceed the seventh position, nine tenths from the Repsol pilot . Valentino Rossi has got his best time ten minutes from the end of the session and no other pilot was able to surpass him. His team mate, Nicky Hayden, has lost a couple of positions with regard to yesterday and he will make the start from the third line as he got the ninth best time.In 250, Toni Elias keeps on leading the category firmly and today he got again the pole position, his fourth consecutive, more than eight tenths from the second qualified and pilot with whom he’s fighting for the World Championship, Manuel Poggiali, that has undergone a slight fall this morning. Fonsi Nieto, in clear improvement, has scored the third best time and will also make the start tomorrow from the first row of the grid. Sebastian Porto also has undergone a slight fall, but this time during the afternoon session; the incident has changed his tests planning and sent him to the seventh position of the grid. Hector Faubel did the fifteenth best time and Joan Olive the eighteenth.In 125, Dani Pedrosa couldn’t finally keep the provisional pole position he got yesterday and had to content with the second best time, a result that allows him make the start tomorrow from the first row of the grid. His direct rival in the fight for the title, the Italian Perugini, finished today in ninth position in a Grand Prix that is not being easy at all, by now, for the Aprilia rider. The best time has been for the young Spanish rider Jorge Lorenzo and his Derbi. Pablo Nieto has slightly improved the setting of his Aprilia and that has allowed him to get a place in the second row as he scored the seventh best time. His team mate, Hector Barberá, more focused on getting a good rhythm for the race than in making a fast lap, has been fourteenth but remains very optimistic concerning the race.
