Spain GP. Races: Toni Elias and Valentino Rossi victorious at the GP of Spain

Toni Elias and Valentino Rossi victorious at the GP of Spain.

Repsol riders win the 250cc and MotoGP races. Pedrosa finishes fourth in the 125cc, Porto sixth and Fonsi seventh in the 250cc. Pablo Nieto and Nicky Hayden retire from their respective races.

Brilliant outcome of the Spanish GP held at Jerez, thanks to the impeccable performances of Toni Elias and Valentino Rossi. The Spaniard and the Italian clinched the victory of the 250cc and MotoGP class respectively, thus becoming the best Repsol riders of the Andalusian event. It’s been a brilliant day for both of them, but especially for Elias who made up several positions during the last laps of the race despite having an injured hand. Bad luck for Pablo Nieto, who had to retire due to mechanical problems after showing a great performance throughout the weekend. Pedrosa was very close to the podium but finally had to settle for fourth. Things didn’t work out well for Porto and Fonsi either, finishing sixth and seventh in the 250cc, while Hayden had to retire from the MotoGP race. The next round of the World Championship will be held in France at the Le Mans circuit on May 25th.
