France Grand Prix. Driver´s comments

Valentino Rossi: ‘Le Mans is not my favourite track but it will be important to pick up points to keep the pressure up on the competition’.
MotoGP. Valentino Rossi: Im happy with the way things are going so far this season. The team is working well and Im pleased to be in this position leading the championship after three races. There is a long way to go this season and there are many competitive riders and bikes. There will be some difficult races ahead for sure. Le Mans is not my favourite track but it will be important to pick up points to keep the pressure up on the competition. MotoGP. Nicky Hayden: I cant wait to get to Le Mans after a hard weekend in Spain. I really look forward to getting back on the bike, though I havent been able to train much this week because my foot is banged up from the fall. Its getting better all the time and Im sure it will be no problem at the race so I will go there and just try to keep working hard and trying my best. I wish we didnt have to wait a week!’  250. Fonsi Nieto: Le Mans is a circuit I like a lot in addition of being the circuit where I got the pole and my second victory last season. The races held so far have not had the results we expected, but we keep on working with high spirits and very hard to improve this situation. I only hope that the good results will start coming now. I was hoping for the change in Jerez and I was very disappointed. We were in Barcelona for some tests last week, but we havent found all solutions we are looking for yet. Our aim is to find a setting that allows me to ride just like last year. Theres a lot of championship left and theres absolutely no reason to think about giving up. 250. Toni Elias: The Le Mans circuit is special for me, because it brings back very good memories. It was here where I took my first podium in the 125cc two years ago and last season I finished sixth starting from the thirteenth place of the grid after and off-track. Last week, during the testing in Barcelona my hand felt much better. We also tested several things and it was good because weve solved some doubts I had. But now were in Le Mans, a technical and complicated circuit given its hard braking areas and short corners. Fortunately my hand is better, although Im still lacking a bit of mobility and strength, but at least it doesnt hurt anymore. I wont be physically at a 100% in France but Ill work hard to stay as competitive as in Jerez.125.Pablo Nieto. Last year I finished sixth, but his year the same result will obviously not be good enough for me. After what happened in Jerez during the last race, Im decided to make up for it in France and clinch that victory that is resisting itself so much. I had everything on my side in Jerez, the bike was working perfect and I had made up my mind to fight for the victory, but… it didnt work out. As a circuit, Le Mans has a very easy layout, except for the end of the straight, with the chicane and the curvone; the rest is only a combination of corners and straights without much complications.
