Repsol Honda Team: Honda Racing philosophy

 

Four years on from the inception of four-stroke machines into the re-branded MotoGP class, Honda remains at the forefront of new technology and the success statistics.

The RC211V continues to be the focus of much attention and the 2006 version complements the Honda trend of desired yet natural improvement. Coupled with seven of the worlds best racers, Honda and the RC211V once more look to further success, in 2006 all led by the highly successful Repsol Honda team.HRCs engineering staff is again charged with achieving the ultimate goal regaining the MotoGP title to continue the unique success of the RC211V.

Refinements to the RC211V will focus on maximizing the use of its impressive power unit. Chassis, suspension and electronics will be the centre of focus as HRCs combination of experienced and young engineers set to work in the 17-race campaign.With little to choose between all of the riders, machinery and tyre options in the MotoGP class it is the skills of the five individual Honda teams and their technical partners which will determine whether 2006 can give Honda and the RC211V a third title in five years.From its early racing exploits Honda continues its beliefs and principles which have brought so much success since the first World Championship win in 1961.

A tireless desire by the HRC engineers is backed by a support staff in Japan, all in an effort to ensure success on the race track and technology development for the Honda customer.The 2006 campaign is much-awaited and throughout the world championship Hondas analytical approach will be evident as the company strives to force back the technological barriers.

A renewed approach and desire to develop younger riders aboard the RC211V is all spearheaded by the exciting and youthful Repsol Honda team of Nicky Hayden and Dani Pedrosa leading the charge as they bid to put the works team back to the front of MotoGP.
