Comunitat Valenciana Grand Prix.: Documentary film on angel Nieto presented in Valencia.

Documentary film on angel Nieto presented in Valencia.

Titled Angel Nieto: 12+1, the history of a self-made man, the event took place coinciding with the Comunitat Valenciana Grand Prix.

An eight-minute trailer of the documentary film on the sports career of the 12+1 times World Champion Ángel Nieto was shown today at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste, within the framework of the Comunitat Valenciana Grand Prix. It was completely new both to the press and to the main character himself, who declared to be very happy and excited with the outcome. The 12+1 world champion was joined at the event by representatives of Repsol YPF, Movistar and Drive TV production company, as well as by relevant people of his life and career, such as his children Pablo and Gelete Nieto, and riders such as Jorge Martínez Aspar, Toni Elías, Álex Debón and Harald Bartol. With an interview of Ángel Nieto as central theme, the film combines fictive recreations of his childhood, library pictures – both from the Spanish broadcaster Televisión Española and from Nietos own archive-, and contributions from other riders such as Álex Crivillé, Carlos Lavado, Jorge Martínez Aspar, Carlos Cardús and Sito Pons, as well as from friends and celebrities such as Valentín Requena, Jaime Algersuari, Andreu Rabassa and Mercedes Milá among others. The press view of the film will be held on November 22 in Madrid and spectators will be able to enjoy the fascinating history of Ángel Nieto and Spanish motorcycling from November 23 in cinemas throughout Spain. According to Ángel Nieto, it is a documentary film made with a lot of affection, reflecting 43 years of my life which I fully dedicated to motorcycling.

Its a review of my whole life, since I started sweeping factories in Barcelona at the age of 14 until today, where Im still somehow involved in the world of motorcycling. I liked the way they have reflected my evolution as a rider and as a person a lot. Today, the world of motorcycling is much different to those times when I started and Im happy to see that it is just the way I have been fighting for it to be. I came out in goose flesh. It is worth watching it because it includes many curiosities and interesting things.
