British GP. Repsol driver´s comments

Elías: ‘After my podium in Assen I feel very excited about going to Donington’.
Valentino Rossi. I always look forward to coming to the UK. I enjoy my time in London where I have a flat and of course I love racing at Donington. I have many great memories at the circuit. I won my first 500cc race there two years ago and I had a great race last year to win again. It would be great to make three victories in a row with the new four stroke. The two strokes will be strong at Donington, but hopefully it will stay dry and I will have a good chance. We had a fantastic GP promotion day in Leicester Square in London a few days ago. It was great to see so many British fans there they have always been fantastic to me and I love performing for them Tohru Ukawa. Donington has never been a great track for me but Im determined to change that and maintain my position in the championship. I cant have as bad a time as I had last year when I qualified in 16th and finished 16th. The 10-second jump-start penalty didnt help! The RCV is working well at the moment and I think with much of what weve learnt about the bike over the first half of the season will be called upon at Donington. Fonsi Nieto. Im very excited about getting to Donington. This is one of the circuits where I feel more comfortable. Last year I started from ninth place and managed to finish sixth. It was a good race despite having had a recent operation on both ankles and suffering a lot until the end. I havent been very lucky in the latest three Grand Prix, but the team is working really hard and its only a question of going for it in order to get back to where we were. My aim is to regain the leadership, and Ill be working really had in order not to loose the Championship. Toni Elias. After my podium in Assen I feel very excited about going to Donington. I keep my feet on the ground, meaning that we cannot make the mistake of feeling overconfident. My team and I have to keep on working hard if we want to repeat the result we got in Holland. We have progressed a lot since the beginning of the season, the best proof of it are the results. Donington is a circuit I like quite a lot; it has fast corners and an astonishing downhill section. Last year I got the pole and finished second. Id love to repeat the Assen result this weekend, but Melandri, Fonsi, Rolfo and De Puniet are very strong and it will be a tough job. Dani Pedrosa. Now I know what it means to win a Grand Prix, something that seemed as if it would never happen. Poggiali is very strong and it will be difficult to surprise him again, as I did in Holland, but we have to keep on working hard without loosing concentration. Right now I cant and shouldnt be thinking about the Championship. The only important thing is to make a good job and obtain good results in each race. The rest, whatever it is, will arrive when it has to arrive. Joan Olivé. After my sixth place in Barcelona I finally managed to get on the podium in Holland and the truth is, that its been the perfect reward for the hard work of the team, of Alberto and myself. I managed to get some points in England last year and we obviously have to go for more this year. Donington is a difficult circuit, with some fast corners and a very delicate downhill section that impresses a lot. The only thing were actually worried about is the weather, but, anyway, if it rains, it will be the same rain for all of us.
