Dutch GP. 2nd qualifying practice. Driver´s comments

Rossi: ‘Im happy with the last lap yesterday to take pole position. This morning was wet and this afternoon was really for nothing’.
Valentino Rossi, 1st: Im happy with the last lap yesterday to take pole position. This morning was wet and this afternoon was really for nothing we lost half the session. We go into the race tomorrow very unsure of the machines set-up. It only just started feeling good towards the end of yesterdays session and today in the wet it has been really difficult. Tomorrow I prefer dry conditions here you never know. Tohru Ukawa, 8th: A pretty frustrating day really. The weather has made it really difficult this afternoon and we had a little problem with the power-shift on the bike this morning, although we luckily didnt lose too much track time. Second row of the grid isnt a real problem. Ive made some good starts this season and will have to make another one tomorrow. Tyre choice will be critical for the race something we dont have a lot of information about. Fonsi Nieto, 3rd: I am satisfied, because we are on the front row again. Today was a pity we had almost no chance to ride in normal conditions because of intermittent rain. We dont know if it will be wet or dry tomorrow, but I feel really comfortable in both conditions. In tomorrows warm-up well try different settings to give us some options, depending on the weather for the race. At this track, it can be sunny and in less than half-an-hour its a cloudburst. I hope it doesnt rain tomorrow, because if it does the smallest error can cause you to crash, and we cant allow that to happen. Toni Elias, 4th: I am happy to be back at the track where I scored my first GP win, and also because I am on the front row. Tomorrow I hope the race will be dry, but if its not like this we have a good setting for any weather conditions. My mechanics have done a great job all weekend. If it doesnt rain tomorrow, Ill try to make a good start so I dont lose touch with the leaders, and fight for a good result. If it rains, tomorrow will be a lottery. Daniel Pedrosa, 1st: Getting pole makes me happy but weve always said that its the race that is important. If it rains, bad luck. Well do what we can, trying to pick up the pace as soon as possible. I have always felt more comfortable in dry conditions, but I wont upset myself if it rains. What is clear is that there can be no tactics for tomorrow, because it is impossible to anticipate what race conditions will be. Were prepared for anything, wet or dry. Joan Olive, 12th: The rain prevented us from continuing with our planned programme. Its a pity, because I was convinced I could improve my time and my grid position. We decided to ride as much as we could in the wet, just in case it rains again tomorrow. This is a circuit where it is possible to ride quite quickly in the wet. You have to ride very smoothly, and take advantage of the road camber, which also means that the water drains off the surface very quickly. In any case, I have no preference for tomorrow. Whatever comes is okay.
