Stéphane Peterhansel, 2º a 43 seg.

This morning we started by leaving too big a safety margin and it took some time to get a good rhythm and the pace for this special. Regarding Nani, I think he was taking too many risks and at the start of the special, both he and and Colin McRae got a good lead over me. But well, it is not a bad position, because in spite of being 45 seconds behind Colin everything went well. The car went well so we will see what happens tomorrow, which is the most important day. We have two specials, the first is 250km and the second over 80km, and it will be an interesting day where we will try to attack a little more. The problem with the dust in this race will be relative tomorrow, because if I see dust it will mean that I am catching up on Colin, which would be good news…
