The Repsol Honda Team riders in MotoGP are facing another fresh challenge, that of being competitive again after the latest good results and training sessions. In Holland Nicky Hayden`s podium finish, third, and Dani Pedrosa`s fourth position confirmed the team`s significant improvement and that of their bikes. Once again the Repsol Honda Team is ready to be back among the leaders in every race. Last year, the two Repsol riders together with Rossi and Melandri had a great duel on the intricate circuit where the German GP is held, a duel that Rossi won. He was followed by Melandri and Hayden. Pedrosa lost out on the podium by just a few tenths of a second after having won the pole position and setting the fastest lap in the race. It is therefore most likely that the young Repsol rider will try to make up for having missed out on the podium celebrations.
In 125cc and 250cc, the young Repsol team members have a chance to start their holidays on a high by gettting the results that have just been out of their reach in the last few races. Although the pubescent riders in 125cc already know what it is like to get a podium finish this season those in 250cc cannot say the same, so there will be nothing better for them than to enjoy their holidays with a good result in their pocket. The Sachsenring is, because of its technical characteristics, a track that suits the Honda, so the three, Esteve Rabat in 125cc as well as Julián Simón and Shuhei Aoyama in 250cc, have a chance of putting in a good performance next Sunday. The case of the young Bradley Smith from Oxford is a little different. His injured left leg, after a fall in Holland, means that there are more doubts surrounding his perfomance, but something that will be there for all to see on Friday morning when Smith gets back on his Honda and we see how he feels on a bike out on the track.
