Both on Friday and on Saturday I was unable to use all the decent tyres I would have liked, but today I was able to fit them and expected to be able keep up and follow the pace of those in the lead. I rode better than in other races, and I can see that in the Czech Republic, in Misano and here I’ve managed to take small steps, but we have to improve a lot more. Around the tenth lap I made a mistake which made me lose positions, but two or three laps later I recovered them. That is when the mechanical problems started and I had to abandon; it’s been a shame. that’s the way races are, but it has happened too many times this year. I’m very sad.
