Toni Bou finishes second and maintains his strong lead

The Montesa-HRC rider Toni Bou finished second in the Czech Republic GP, the ninth date in the World Championship. With seven victories and two second places in his pocket Bou is still the solid leader in the general…
Takahisa Fujinami (Repsol Montesa-HRC) lost any chance of a podium finish on the second round that was not too difficult and where Dougie Lampkin (Repsol Montesa-HRC) was not happy at any moment, as can be seen from the consequences in the general classification for the seven times World Champion. Laia Sanz (Repsol Montesa-HRC), who started with a victory yesterday on what would be her eighth women`s title, was seventh of those participating in the World Junior Cup. Toni Bou  Obviously I would have preferred to win but today`s result is good enough if we look at the overall championship situation. We had to tackle a date which, because it was not so difficult, did not allow us to make many mistakes. I got a one on the second round, when I started too soon on the seventh zone, and I found it impossible to recover the five points that the mistake cost me in the end. Takahisa Fujinami I made a couple of mistakes on the second round and what is more I was affected by a marshall that was very strict. But the conclusion to be made is that I did not do it as I should have. There is nothing else to say.  Dougie Lampkin  I never felt very comfortable on this terrain at any moment and I made a lot of mistakes, and the final result was a complete disaster. I hope that in the next date, on my home ground, I can really turn things around.   The tenth and last but one date in the World Championship will be the British GP, to be held 29th July at Hawkstone Park. Classification Czech Republic GP1.
