Alguersuari analyses his new status as reserve F1 driver on his blog

Red Bull has announced that Jaime Alguersuari, Repsol driver in the World Series, will be the third driver in its F1 teams starting at the German GP. At the same time the Spanish driver will continue to compete in the World Series as Repsol driver in the Carlin team.

On his blog at Repsol.com Alguersuari says that he is “closer to being one of the lead drivers in Red Bull Racing or Toro Rosso” and tells us that he does not rule out ”in any way my options of competing in F1 in 2009”. He also says that he will continue to race in the World Series, as a Repsol driver, “with a lot of determination and ambition, as always, but now more motivated than ever”. He insists that he is still in the title fight in this competition.
