The rain that fell in the weekend and hindered the preparations for the race last Sunday, gave way to very good weather conditions in Estoril both in the race day and in the testing sessions held yesterday and today. Taking advantage of the sunshine and warm temperatures (22ºC), Marc Márquez was able to complete 80 laps today, which the Repsol rider used to look for solutions to the stability problems he had last weekend.
Running since ten in the morning until when the track was closed, Marc Márquez and his team focused on finding the best set-up for his chassis and suspensions, in order to adapt his Moto2 to the requirements of the Portuguese track. The Repsol rider was also able to test some new Suter components to keep analysing his bike’s reactions and continue with his learning curve in the category.
Marc Márquez will have tomorrow a second test session before enjoying a well-deserved rest before the next round of the World Championship, next week in France.

“I am happy with the job we did today. We tested many new parts and some of them worked well right away, although some others we will have to check better to gain confidence. We were lucky, as the weather was good, so let’s hope it remains the same tomorrow to be able to keep working. We are focusing in keeping the same line we set today, so that we can keep improving for the next races. I want to thank my whole team, because they helped me a lot in improving my feelings on the bike”.
