The former goalkeeper, Repsol driver in the Spanish Asphalt Rally Championship, is competing with the Spanish company livery in the Classic series
Sportsman Santiago Cañizares, former goalkeeper of the Spanish Football Team, joined the drivers’ line-up of the Repsol Classic Team, a team that competes in the Spanish Rally Championship for classical cars at the wheel of a Renault Alpine.
Cañizares took part in the first three races of this national championship and will also be a the Aviles Rally, the next round of the calendar that will take place in Asturias next July 8 and 9th. Santiago, a great fan of competitive racing, will combine his participations with the Repsol Classic Team, with his role as official driver of the Suzuki Team at the Spanish Asphalt Rally Championship, where he competes with a Swift with Repsol livery.
The Valencian driver is a great fan of racing and has several classic competition cars, most of them are Renault Alpine of different displacement and power. With his signing, the Repsol Classic Team consolidates his image as a leading team of the Spanish Classic teams and one of the most important line-ups of the international scene.
