The Repsol rider adapted quickly to a bike that nearly doubles in weight and power the bike he had last year, and he already gathered four victories with his Moto2
The first challenge for Marc Márquez after becoming 125cc World Champion was to change category and adapt himself to the requirements of this jump forward in his career, after some years competing in 125cc. In his first season in the intermediate category of the World Championship, the Repsol rider used his talent and determination, with the help of his technical team, to get used to a bike of almost 130 CV and 140 kg.
After a promising winter preseason, where he reached the pace of the fastest riders in the different tracks he visited, the start of the World Championship was not as smooth as it was hoped, showing his lack of experience in the new class. With a bit of bad lack, Márquez gathered three “zeros” in the first three races, but since France the Repsol rider has added four victories, two second positions and just one more retirement in seven races.
After his triumph in Germany —his third consecutive win— and the second place at the Czech Republic, the Repsol rider confirms his good relationship with his bike that is becoming a romance. The Moto2 Suter is one of the favourite bikes of the season, developed by a Swiss engineering company and that fills a huge part of the starting grid in the intermediate class, as it is used by 14 riders.
The bike features a double beam aluminium chassis, adjustable single aluminium swingarm, cutting-edge Öhlins suspensions and a total weight of 137 kg.
