Just as in the 125cc class in 2010, Marc Márquez shuts the door on his stay in the intermediate category with a world title. With one race remaining in the 2012 season, the Repsol rider today sealed another World Championship after a brilliant year full of victories, records and moments that will go down in history.
The points record for the Moto2 class in a single season (299), the most victories for a rider under the age of 20 (25), 8 wins and 5 podiums from 16 Grands Prix this season… these are just some of the spectacular records that Marc Márquez has taken this year, in a season that is still to conclude. The young rider says goodbye to Moto2 as a 2x World Champion in the lower cylinder classes, ready to step up to MotoGP with the Repsol Honda Team.
