Moto3 riders unveil bike for Moto3 World Championship at event in Madrid.
Madrid’s Media Lab building this morning held the official presentation of Alex Rins and Alex Marquez’ 2014 Moto3 campaign. Last season’s World Championship runner-up and Rookie of the Year, respectively, will be riding alongside one another once more this year and will continue to receive Repsol backing for the 2014 project. The duo will be onboard the Honda NSF250RW, a Moto3 bike developed in collaboration with the Japanese manufacturer’s competition department, HRC, over recent months.
After tests already carried out in Almeria, Valencia and Jerez, next week the riders return to the latter circuit for a second time this preseason. Last time out, Marquez was the best Spanish rider on track at Jerez, whilst Rins missed the test through a wrist injury. Having made a recovery, Rins will be back in action for what will be the final preseason test before the start of the 2014 campaign.

“The presentation of the team went very well. This definitely kick-starts every season. Both ourselves and the fans are always keen to see the new team livery. Now I can’t wait to go to Jerez and begin the test on Tuesday. This season we are especially excited, because we are debuting a new bike and have HRC support. We haven’t stopped developing since last season finished and we keep moving forward with the setup, so we are very happy, eager and confident that things will go well.”

“A presentation is always a very special day. It is an honour to continue with the support of Estrella Galicia 0,0, Repsol and Monlau Competición for another year in the World Championship. We’ve also seen the new livery, which is beautiful. Now we have to wait for the season to start, which is soon. We are really keen, because the winter always seems so long.”
Emilio Alzamora – Team Principal
“We are very happy to make our Moto3 team presentation and have the support of our sponsors. It is an honour to be able to unveil a new team and the new Honda NSF250RV, with the backing of HRC. Like every season, this is a very exciting moment ‒especially so this year, because we and HRC have worked hard on our setup to have a winning bike.
Alex Rins and Alex Marquez are in their best form. We have had some bad luck with injuries, but that won’t stop them being 100% at Qatar. This is a season in which to build on their good results from last year and aim to fight for the title at the end of the campaign.”
