Quartararo and Raffin, with the Moto3 and Moto2 title already secured, won the last races of the year. Kenny Noyes took the Superbike title.

The Ricardo Tormo Circuit was the scene of the FIM CEV Repsol 2014’s last act and, as he did already in 2013, the Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa showed his support to the young riders and did not miss the final round of the Championship. A finale where Fabio Quartararo and Jesko Raffin, with the championship already secured in Portugal, won the last races in the Moto3 and Moto2 class respectively. Over at Superbikes, the only class which Champion was to be decided in Valencia, Kenny Noyes secured the title after finishing second in a race won by Carmelo Morales, who took his fourth consecutive victory.

Moto3

After securing for the second time the FIM CEV Repsol title in the last round held in Portugal, Fabio Quartararo finished the season in style at the Valencian round. The French rider won both races of the small category, despite sharing the track with World Championship riders such as Alexis Masbou and John McPhee. Quartararo closes a brilliant season where he took 9 wins and 2 second places from 11 races.

Maria Herrera finished fifth in the first race and crashed in the second. Jorge Navarro was not so lucky, as he crashed twice and was not able to finish any of the races. Fortunately, the rider from Valencia did not have any serious injury.

On the podium of the class’s overall results, Fabio Quartararo is first, followed by Jorge Navarro and Japan’s Hiroki Ono in third.

Moto2

In the intermediate category, Jesko Raffin was able to take revenge for the Portimao race, where despite securing the Moto2 FIM CEV Repsol Championship, he finished out of the podium in both races. In Valencia the Swiss rider took the first step of the podium after beating German Florian Alt, who was finally second, with Edgar Pons in third place.

The same riders can be found in the same places in the overall standings, with Raffin first, Alt second and Pons third.

Superbike

The biggest displacement class of the FIM CEV Repsol was the only one that had to wait to the Valencia round for his winner to be decided. Of the 4 riders battling for the title, Santi Barragan was out of contention due to a mechanical failure that forced him to retire at the beginning of the race. Carmelo Morales still had chances and fought until the end, by winning the races, but the duel was finally between the two favourites: Silva and Noyes.

They were both among the top places until Ivan Silva crashed just 2 laps before the end, which left the rider from Barcelona out of the battle while Kenny Noyes took the FIM CEV Repsol title.

With this result, Carmelo Morales jumped to the second overall position, leaving Ivan Silva third overall.
