The Repsol Honda rider achieved his third victory – from the three rounds already held – in a very demanding race. Young Jaime Busto finished in an excellent fourth place and Fujinami sixth.
The Czech town of Sokolov held yesterday the third round of the Trial World Championship, in which Toni Bou added another win to his record, the third of the three rounds already held this season, and consolidated his lead in the overall standings with an advantage of 15 points over the second placed, Adam Raga. The track conditions and the weather did not prevent young rider Jaime Busto to get the fourth position in a complicated round where Takahisa Fujinami finished sixth.
In his first lap, Toni Bou conceded some points, but his reaction in the second lap was faultless, with only 7 points against the 16 received by the second best in that pass. In the last lap, always keeping the lead, the several times Champion managed his advantage over his rivals to finish on the first step of the podium. With this result, Toni Bou has now 60 points in the overall standings.
His team mate, Jaime Busto, surprised everyone with his great riding in such complicated zones, which had to be tackled with caution. The young rider took the fourth place from the first lap and finished the day just out of the podium. The Basque rider is still sixth overall. Despite this trial being so physically demanding, Takahisa Fujinami – still with some issues after his knee surgery – finished sixth. A result that allowed him to keep the fourth place overall, just 1 point behind the third.
Today, the second and last day of this Czech Republic Grand Prix will take place with a 10-kilometre route divided into twelve zones, on which the riders will complete three laps.

“Winning wasn’t easy today. The trial was complicated, there were some difficult zones and in other ones it was very easy to make mistakes. In addition the controls were very strict applying the non-stop system. It was easy to get points. I’m very happy of how it went and of having achieved my third win of the season. We are increasing our advantage and that is very important because I’m sure things will be more difficult in the next races.”

“I’m not very happy with the result. I could have achieved a podium or at least finished in fourth. I didn’t do very well in the first lap, but I did some things better in the second. I gathered some points in the final lap and I finished sixth. Anyway, I’m satisfied because the team supported me and the doctor helped me a lot. I’m happy with the team’s work and I feel positive for tomorrow.”

“This kind of trial does not fit my style, but today I felt comfortable. In the first lap I didn’t do very well, and in the third I did touch some signs, but I must be happy with the result, because I’m learning in every race. A fourth place is great and I think it’s the result of a good riding. The zones were very slippery but I didn’t make any mistakes. We’ll see if I can do better tomorrow.”
