Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa ready for a special weekend in Barcelona, where both have previously won MotoGP races.
The seventh round of the MotoGP World Championship is one of the most anticipated appointments for the Repsol Honda Team riders. Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa head to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya track this weekend, where both will be riding at home and will have more support than ever from the grandstands. The challenge for both riders will be to find a good setup for their Hondas to enable them to ride at their best.
In Moto3, Fabio Quartararo, Jorge Navarro and Maria Herrera will be able to continue to improve at a circuit they know well from their time in the FIM CEV Repsol series. A year ago, on his way to his second national title, Fabio Quartararo broke the track record established by the World Championship riders barely a week before.

“It was disappointing to crash out in Mugello but this can happen when you’re on the limit. This weekend we head to Catalunya for my home GP and we have a lot of work to do to prepare the bike. I’ve had good results at this track and won there last year, so will hope to do the same in front of all my fan club! Let’s hope we can have a good battle and put on a good show.”
Dani Pedrosa
“Mugello was pretty positive as I can feel my arm improving all the time. I’ve continued my rehabilitation since the race and now we head to my home race in Montmelò. We have a busy weekend ahead as we need to work hard on the bike to solve some issues. Setup is key at this track as you spend so much time on the edge of the tyre. You can feel the energy of the fans and I hope we can take advantage of it! Let’s hope it’s nice weather and the fans can enjoy the weekend!”
Fabio Quartararo
“The objective for the Catalan GP is clear: To avoid any mistake like those we made at Mugello and Le Mans. This is a circuit that I know very well; I have ridden a lot of times there, and last year I was fairly fast. It is one of my favourite tracks and we have worked very hard with the team, so we hope to have a great performance. I think we are going to have a lot of fun.”
Jorge Navarro
“This weekend we are back riding at a track with which I am familiar, and where it will be important to work well on our setup in order to lower our times. It is a track with fast corners and the important thing will be getting a stable bike in order to take them on as quickly as possible. We have prepared a lot for this Grand Prix and I hope to have a good performance, in order to keep improving.”
Maria Herrera
“Racing at home is always special and the circuit would be a great place to achieve my first points in the World Championship. Hopefully I can do it! I feel comfortable with the bike, we have worked well on it and arrive in Barcelona very motivated. At Mugello I found it hard to learn the circuit, so going to a track that I already know is more positive for us.”
