After the British Grand Prix last weekend, Repsol riders continue working with their Hondas for two days of testing at MotorLand.
Only a few days after their visit to Silverstone, Jorge Navarro and Fabio Quartararo continued working on the setup of their Moto3 bikes in two days of testing at MotorLand Aragon. Although yesterday the sky was cloudy all day, rain did not make an appearance and the Repsol riders were able to work from 9am through to 6pm. On Friday morning they were greeted by a damp track, which did not dry out and limited their track time to two hours between 9am and 11am.
Navarro came into the test after getting his first pole in the World Championship. Over the two days he continued to work on the setup of his bike with his team, putting in a total of 115 laps. Quartararo also worked on setups, focusing especially on suspensions. He tried things out that the tight schedule of a Grand Prix weekend does not allow, completing 132 laps over the two days of testing.
Satisfied with the test, Quartararo and Navarro will be in action again at the San Marino Grand Prix, before returning in two weeks to MotorLand for the Aragon GP.

“The feeling at the test has been good. I think we’ve done a great job. The second day was more difficult because of the rain, but on the first day we completed over a hundred laps; All in all it was a very positive test. We tested many things, for example the suspension, and everything went well, so we have many options to solve problems during a Grand Prix. The test allows us to be strong heading to Misano.”

“It was a very positive test, because we have seen that under conditions different from the last test we did here, the bike still behaves very well. We also had time to try things out with the bike, which normally we can’t due to a lack of time during the Grand Prix. Overall, it has helped us to see that we have a good base and to work towards the Aragon Grand Prix. We’re very happy and now we can’t wait for Misano.”
