Rider opens an exhibition in Cartagena showing the highlights for Repsol in motorsport, part of the Festival of Carthaginians and Romans.
Dani Pedrosa, the winner of the San Marino Grand Prix, visited Cartagena on the occasion of the arrival in the town of the traveling exhibition “Legends of Motorsport 1969-2015: From Angel Nieto to Marc Marquez.” In a ceremony attended by local and regional authorities, the Repsol rider was the host of an exhibition showing Repsol’s more than 45 years in competition –with Pedrosa himself one of the stars.
The exhibition is part of the calendar for the Festival of Carthaginians and Romans, declared an event of touristic interest in Spain. Visitors will have access, free of charge and for nearly a month, to some of the golden pages of motorsports history, including photographs and unique pieces such as the MotoGP bikes used by Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez, the bike Angel Nieto rode and machines run by Marc Coma and Toni Bou in the Dakar Rally and Trials, respectively.
In addition, Pedrosa will visit Santomera this afternoon, where he will participate in a meeting with 1,500 people in the municipal auditorium. The town was the winner of a promotion by Repsol at all service stations in the region, triumphing thanks to 5,261 votes of the more than 10,600 received on repsol.com.
