One day before the official presentation of the Repsol Honda team in Jakarta, the team’s riders visited the Astra Honda Motor factory in Indonesia.
Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa met with workers at Astra Honda, the official importer of the Japanese manufacturer in Indonesia. This is one of the most important markets for Honda, in a country where MotoGP fans see the Repsol Honda riders as true sporting superstars. The reigning World Champion and his teammate visited the Karawang plant in West Java province, where thousands of excited employees welcomed them.
Marquez and Pedrosa will once again be greeted by fans in Jakarta tomorrow, at the official launch of the Repsol Honda Team for 2017.

“I’m very happy to be here in Indonesia again. I’ve been to this country many times since entering MotoGP, and every time I feel the passion and love of all our fans. This time is even more special because it’s the first time we’ve visited an AHM factory line, and it’s just amazing! I can see how operators really enjoy their work and how big Honda is around the world. I’ve realized how proud they are working at Astra Honda Motor, and it gives us more strength to work hard and achieve our goals.”
