The Repsol Honda rider added his twentieth consecutive World Championship after eleven years as the best in his speciality, both outdoor and indoor.

One round before the end of the World Championship, Toni Bou achieved today at the Czech Republic his eleventh Outdoor Trial World Championship title, twenty-second if we count the indoor titles. About to celebrate his 31st anniversary, Bou has 22 World Championships to his name, which places him over motorsport legends such as Giacomo Agostini and his 15 titles, Angel Nieto’s 12+1, Peterhansel’s 13 wins at the Dakar, the 9 World Championships won by Valentino Rossi and Sebastien Loeb, or the 7 Formula 1 crowns gathered by Michael Schumacher.

Since signing for the Repsol Honda Team in 2007, Bou has never been beaten in the X-Trial or Trial World Championships, where he has 144 wins in 196 races. During these 11 seasons, he won nearly a 74% of the rounds in which he competed. With today’s result in the second-to-last round of the year that took place in Sokolov, Bou signed a nearly perfect season, with seven victories, one second place and one third place of the nine rounds of a calendar that will finish in seven days in Italy.
