Toni Bou secures his twelfth X-Trial World Championship

The Repsol Honda Team rider keeps increasing his track record and tonight achieved in Paris his twenty-third consecutive World Championship.

His fifth victories in the five first rounds of the FIM X-Trial World Championship were decisive for Toni Bou to add yet another title to his track record, the twelfth in X-Trial, twenty third if we include the eleven he secured outdoor. Despite an injury he got three weeks ago and after participating in today’s round in Paris without being able to train, Bou used his 31-points advantage in the overall standings to secure another crown. Since he made his debut with the Repsol Honda Team in 2007, the Spanish rider has been winning uninterruptedly both X-Trial and Outdoor, with a 100% efficiency.

Toni Bou:

“I’m very happy to have secured this title, my number 12; it is more than a dream to have gotten here. This season was fantastic, I had a great start that gave me some advantage, allowing me to secure the title two races before the end of the Championship. I think I rode very well, I achieved five wins in the first five rounds and that made all the difference, which is something that makes me very proud.”
