The Repsol Honda Team rider keeps winning streak in the return of the TrialGP World Championship to Holland. Takahisa Fujinami finished just out of the podium, in fourth place.
Fourth win in the fourth round of the season for Toni Bou in a nearly perfect race in which he took only one penalty point – due to putting one foot – in the first lap and five points –for time excess–, then doing a perfect second lap.
Takahisa Fujinami finished fourth and keeps the third place of the World Championship’s overall standings.
The next round will be in one week in Belgium.
Toni Bou:
“Today we knew that we had to hold on. At the beginning of the race, a small failure could delay you, so we knew we would suffer. We had a very good race, though it’s a pity that we got the time penalty in the first lap, as we did a very good second lap, with 0 points. I am in a very good moment in terms of my riding and physical shape, so I’m very happy. I want to thank the team for all their work.”
Takahisa Fujinami:
“The terrain and the areas I found today were really difficult for me. There were a lot of steps, many triples and everything was quite dry. I started badly, but then I recovered a bit. I’m very happy with my riding today. This fourth place is very important for the overall standings and we’ll try to get on the podium next week in Belgium.”
