Marc Márquez places fourth in qualifying

The Repsol Honda Team rider will start from the second row of the grid for the Dutch GP.

The MotoGP World Championship leader was third and fourth, respectively, in the two Free Practice sessions held today.

In qualifying, Márquez set the fourth fastest time with his first set of new tyres, but would not manage to improve on his second stint.

This is the first time this season that Marc Márquez has not been on the front row of the grid.

“I’m happy with the race pace and we knew before the Qualifying that it would be tough as there is more competition than normal. It looks like in the morning it is a little tricky but then in the afternoon when the conditions get warmer we are there. I think it’s going to be a very close race tomorrow and there are four or five of us with good pace. Normally it’s a circuit where we struggle, but in Mugello normally we struggle and got second and in Montmelo we struggled and won.”
