A new edition of the international competition sees the Moto3 Junior World Championship, Moto2 European Championship and European Talent Cup in action.
This weekend in Estoril, Portugal, a new season of the FIM CEV Repsol gets underway. It will be the first of the eight rounds of a competition that has become a stepping stone to the Motorcycle World Championship, and through which the vast majority of MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 champions have passed.
The competition will include the FIM Junior Moto3 World Championship, where 32 riders from 13 countries will try to follow in the footsteps of Izan Guevara -champion in 2020 and now a participant in the World Championship- and Pedro Acosta -third last year and currently the leader of the Moto3 World Championship. The pair are also an inspiration for the 47 participants in the European Talent Cup, who hail from 17 different countries.
The Moto2 European Championship, which features 23 riders from 13 countries, completes the lineup for a series that Repsol has supported since 2013. The FIM CEV Repsol is part of a commitment to the training of young riders, which has been a cornerstone of Repsol’s project of motorsport sponsorship for over 50 years.
The first round of the FIM CEV Repsol will have 5 races. Two for the European Talent Cup and Moto2, and one for Moto3:
11:00 – European Talent Cup Race 1
12:00 – Moto2 Race 1
13:00 – Moto3 Race
14:00 – European Talent Cup Race 2
