Box Repsol challenged Twitter to make an emoji of a Honda RC213V available to MotoGP fans, in order to support Marc Márquez and Pol Espargaró during the Catalan Grand Prix.
Last Monday, Box Repsol sent a tweet to Twitter Spain, proposing the creation of a Honda RC213V emoji to cheer on their riders at the Catalan Grand Prix. They created the hashtag #LaGradaRepsol for the initiative, and were told that if their tweet publication reached 2,000 likes before Saturday, the emoji would be theirs.
Box Repsol reached that figure in less than a day, thanks to the support of the fans, leading to the first MotoGP emoji in the history of Twitter. All Repsol Honda Team and MotoGP fans will be able to show off this emoji in their tweets using hashtags such as #LaGradaRepsol and #EquipoRepsolHonda, among others. In addition, after having achieved a number of likes much higher than the set target, Twitter will keep the emoji available for a period of three months, which will also include the German GP, the Dutch TT, both rounds in Austria and the British Grand Prix.
This action will allow fans to cheer on Marc Márquez and Pol Espargaró from any corner of the world, at a Grand Prix that will be different from those that have always been experienced at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
