The third round of the international event comes to the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya, the scene of the MotoGP Catalan Grand Prix just a few days ago.
This Sunday, the third round of the FIM CEV Repsol will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya, following events at Estoril and Valencia. The World Championship level track, which held a MotoGP race won by Miguel Oliveira last week, is the venue for the international series, in which 20 of the current 23 riders in the premier class have competed.
There will be five races held: Two for the Moto3 Junior World Championship, two from the Moto2 European Championship and one for the European Talent Cup. In these classes, Daniel Holgado, Fermín Aldeguer and Adrián Cruces will all try to defend their respective leads.
In recent years, the current crop of MotoGP stars have shone in the FIM CEV Repsol. This is the case for Oliveira, who achieved victory in MotoGP four days ago and is a previous third place finisher and runner-up in the 125GP class of the FIM CEV Repsol in 2009 and 2010, respectively, thanks to four victories and five podiums in those two seasons.
