Repsol rider completes two productive days of testing at the Slovakia Ring.
Alex Rins has used the summer break to continue accumulating experience and kilometres on his KTM. The Repsol rider had two test days in Slovakia this week, trying out various setup options for his
Moto3 machine. He will now take a short holiday before the second half of the World Championship season begins.
In yesterday’s session Rins put in a total of 93 kilometres, on a new track for him. The Slovakia Ring stands out at a very technical and long 5.9km, although for this test a modified layout of
3.7 km was used.
This morning rain was present and the protégé of Emilio Alzamora would only go out on track in the afternoon. He was able to test different aspects of his bike, in search of possible improvements for the second stage of the season.
The Repsol rider will be back on his bike on Friday, 16th August, in the opening practice session for the Indianapolis Grand Prix round nine of the season.
Alex Rins
“It was very positive to be able to have this test in Slovakia. It was nice for me to continue to have a good feeling with my KTM. After two days of intense work on the bike, the conclusions are very good, because we were able to test different aspects of the setup. We are also very happy because we were able to work on the base setting for Indianapolis. This circuit is new to me, I had never ridden here before and I like it. I hope someday we can have a Grand Prix at the Slovakia Ring. “
