2-3 for the Repsol Honda team in Andorra thanks to the debut on the World Championship podium for Jaime Busto and the third place for Toni Bou. Takahisa Fujinami ended in fifth place.
Jaime Busto got the pole position yesterday in the Qualifying session and today achieved his first podium in the World Championship by finishing in second position, just one point away from the winner, Adam Raga.
In third position, and only two points behind the leader, was Toni Bou, after making a mistake in the first lap by missing a compulsory pass.
The third rider of the Repsol Honda Team, Takahisa Fujinami, fought for the first places, although he finished in fifth position.
The World Championship does not stop and next weekend it will resume in Lourdes, France, for the fourth round of the calendar. As in all the European rounds, the competition will only take place on Sunday.
Toni Bou
“The most important mistake was in zone 14, because we did the zone nearly without looking because I had not time and I jumped a pass. This mistake made me miss the victory. Other penalties were predictable, but not this one. We know that these are things that can happen and the only thing that it tells us is that we need to keep fighting race by race for the championship.”

“Today’s trial was, as we foresaw, a very tough race. When we went to see the zones, they looked easy, but in the end, you would either take a zero or failing it. I made some mistakes and in the end, I had to be fast because I also got a time penalty. I finished fifth, a bit far from the podium, but I’m sure there will be better races. I want to congratulate Jaime for his first World Championship podium. Keep going, Jaime!”
Jaime Busto
“I’m very happy for having achieved my first podium in the World Championship. Last year and the year before I was very close and this year had started quite badly, so it was time to change the trend. The weekend went very well, with yesterday’s pole position and the result today. I’m very happy with this second place.”
