“The expectations for today were high. We made a good start, but on the straight other riders passed me fairly easily and then I had trouble recovering positions. The feeling with the bike was quite good and, although at some points we are still suffering a lot, at others we are really strong. We have to look for the compromise that will allow us to be even more competitive.”

“It was a difficult race, because everybody brakes very late and other riders can easily get in your way. At first it was hard for me, because the feeling was not the same as in practice. I kept modifying my riding style and finally I was able to ride fast and with the lead group, although I couldn’t get the podium I would have liked. Finishing in the top five is a good result for the championship and we are 14 points off second, but I think we have to be more ambitious for the next race.”
