Comunitat Valenciana GP. Driver´s comments

Valentino Rossi: ‘I will remember this season for a long time as we make many incredible races’.
Valentino Rossi: ‘It has been an amazing season for me. I knew at the beginning of the year that it would be impossible to make as many wins as we did last year. The competition this year has been very strong. The team have worked very well and we have been very consistent on the podium. I will remember this season for a long time as we make many incredible races. I hope to finish well at Valencia. It is not my favourite circuit and I have never had a victory there. We try very hard to end the season on a real high point.’Nicky Hayden: ‘It seems amazing that it was a year ago I visited my first GP at Valencia to watch the last race of last season. This year has gone so quick. My team has been great and has helped me so much. Every race I’ve been feelin’ more confidant and the last few GP’s have been pretty good. It was great to get a genuine box finish at Phillip Island. I’d really like to end the season with more of the same. I have ridden at Valencia before but it was last year and in pretty bad conditions. I guess I’ve come a long way since than – at least I know which way the track goes.’Fonsi Nieto: ‘This season hasn’t been very good for me and now that we’re going to Valencia I’d like to see the season off with a victory. Furthermore, both podium finishes achieved in the latest races have been a real injection of moral. This track brings back very good memories to me because it is here where I took my first podium two years ago. Therefore I’d like to get a good result again. I like the layout a lot and now that we’re going to race at home it would be the perfect place to make a good race and a great show. It would be great to be again on the highest step of the podium.’Toni Elias: ‘We’ve already missed the championship title but I’m eager to get to Valencia because there is nothing like racing at home in front of our home crowd. I wanted the title to be decided in Valencia, but it hasn’t been possible. Weighing up the season, it has been a good one and I’m satisfied in general. We had some problems at the beginning but halfway the season everything began to work perfect. We still have options to become runner-ups, I’ve taken five victories, five poles and what is most important, I’ve found a good compromise with the Aprilia. This track adapts very well to our bike and I think that we can make a good race. I hope to be in the front, fighting for the victory. I’d like to see the season off with a good taste in my mouth.’Héctor Barberá: ‘Although I haven’t lapped on this circuit in the last eight months, you always have some advantage when racing at home. The energy you get from the crowd is simply impressive and although it is also a great pressure, I’m sure that we’ll be able to do a good race. The secret is to find a good set-up for the Aprilia already on Friday to be able to prepare the race thoroughly. It will be difficult to finish runner-up of the class because Perugini would have to fail, but we’ll give it all until the very end.’
