The third place for the Repsol Honda team rider at the Valencian Grand Prix took him to a century of rostrum finishes.
The 2015 MotoGP World Championship came to an end yesterday at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, with a new milestone marked in the sporting career of Dani Pedrosa. The Repsol Honda Team rider -who had a difficult season due to arm surgery early on, then finished strongly with wins in Japan and Malaysia- rounded off the campaign with his 100th podium in the premier class. The figure has only been previously achieved by Valentino Rossi.
Pedrosa has been taking podiums right from the start of his MotoGP career, claiming second place on his premier class debut at the Spanish Grand Prix, behind Loris Capirossi. Over the course of 166 races, the Repsol Honda Team rider has scored 28 wins, 38 second places and 34 third places, surpassing the numbers of multiple World Champions such as Giacomo Agostini (88 podiums), Mick Doohan (95) and Jorge Lorenzo (97).
The next time Pedrosa will be out on track is tomorrow, alongside teammate Marc Marquez in the first test of the 2016 preseason.
