Repsol rider has had his best premier class season to date, with seven wins and some unforgettable performances.
The title fight in MotoGP this season has raised the bar to previously unseen levels. Dani Pedrosa took the runner-up spot in the 2012 World Championship with the most victories of any rider —seven— and took a further eight podiums from the eighteen Grands Prix. This year he broke personal records and was the star of some spectacular races.
The Repsol Honda Team rider has racked up his best statistics for a season: 332 points in total —15 more than his previous best from 2004— and 15 podiums that helped him fight for the title right up to the penultimate race of the season. Of his seven wins, the most notable were that taken at Brno in a breathtaking duel with Jorge Lorenzo, a first wet weather victory at Sepang and a comeback from pitlane at the season finale in Valencia. This season he also passed the 100 World Championship podiums milestone and ended the campaign in fine form.
