The Repsol rider receives penalties of only five points in the Trial in Germany and shows her determination to improve his record of ten World Championship titles
Laia Sanz won this Sunday at Grossheubach (Germany), in the round that starts the new edition of the Feminine Trial World Championship. This competition will have two more rounds and in the final classification will only be taken into account the two best results of each participant. This way, the Repsol rider signs a nearly perfect weekend, after getting another victory yesterday in the second round of the European Championship.
In the same terrain as yesterday, but with more difficulties in the more selective zones and a bit softer in the rest. Laia Sanz did not leave any chance to the rest. She finished the first lap with 5 minutes penalty —half the points of her most immediate rival— and reinforced her victory with a second pass without mistakes, leaving her rival 21 points away. This way, the champion exhibited her talent in Germany, where in two different rounds she only received 10 points of penalty.
Today Laia Sanz participated in her 23rd round of the Trial Feminine World Championship, where she achieved her first title in 2000. The Repsol Montesa Honda rider has 22 victories to her name and one second position.
The next weekend, in Tanvald (Czech Republic) Sanz will try to get on Saturday her tenth continental title —it will be enough for her to get a fourth position— and on Sunday she will have her first opportunity to secure her eleventh World Championship.
Laia Sanz;
“The changes made in the different zones were interesting, as the most difficult allowed to set wider differences. In the second lap I was even able to increase the pace to avoid the rain that affected my rivals. The back pain I had yesterday did not bother me today and I was able to finish completely satisfied a weekend where I could not have asked for more. I hope the next one will be as positive as this one “.
