Double win for Bou at the United States

The rider of the Repsol Honda Team achieved this weekend two wins in the two races held in the US, with Jaime Busto on the podium on both of them.

Toni Bou has taken seven victories of the eight rounds held up to now this season.

After setting the fastest time in Qualifying on Friday, Jaime Busto took the third step on the podium on Saturday and the second in yesterday’s race.

A complicated weekend for Takahisa Fujinami, who finished eighth on Saturday and seventh yesterday.

There are two rounds left before the end of the World Championship, on September 10th and 17th, at the Czech Republic and Italy, respectively.

Toni Bou

1st – 1st

“I’m very happy with how the race went. It seemed as if yesterday’s rain would make it more difficult, but it went better quickly. Three points in the first lap are very few.  I’m very happy with my riding in an easy race and we took a step forward in the championship, because this was a fantastic weekend. Now we have to enjoy the summer as much as we can, because we deserve it. We’re doing a great season in the three championships and now is time to enjoy”.

Takahisa Fujinami

8th – 7th

“I’m not very happy, it was a tough weekend for me. I found areas with big steps and here, at 2000 metres altitude, I really felt that a lot, when I am usually able to pass them. I didn’t feel very confident and it was difficult. Yesterday was very tough for me, but for the championship we can still fight to finish in a good position”.

Jaime Busto

3rd – 2nd

“I’m very happy. Today it went better than yesterday and, in the first lap, I only made one big mistake. In the second I also felt comfortable on the zones, despite a small mistake. It’s a great result for the Championship. The aim is to finish third and do well in the last races”.
