Toni Bou achieved this Sunday in Nord Vue -Cumbria, Great Britain- his fourth consecutive win in the Trial World Championship, his fifth of the season and the second in the British Grand Prix. The Repsol Honda Team rider confirmed with this result his lead of the World Championship. He leaves with a margin of 10 points over his main rival in the Championship, Adam Raga, 3 races before the end of the season.

The rider from Piera started strong this second day of competition in Nord Vue, now without rain and with a better weather, which made riding easier. The Repsol rider dominated again, with an extremely clean performance, with no mistakes, apart from a trajectory mistake in zone 8, that he could not finish in any of the three laps. These three mistakes, together with another in zone 4 during the last lap, completed the 20 penalty points he received.

Takahisa Fujinami hit his knee during yesterday’s race and today he suffered a lot, especially at the beginning of the race, when he accumulated several mistakes. In the second and third lap, the Japanese rider was able to reduce his points and finish in fifth place. Fujinami keeps the fourth position in the overall standings.

After this sixth round of the Trial World Championship, the Repsol Honda Team riders will not have much time to recover, as next weekend they will participate in the French round of the World Championship. The French GP will take place next Sunday, July 27th at the La Mongie ski resort, in the Pyrenees.

Toni Bou,
“I am very happy about how this weekend went. I think we can’t ask for more than two victories. Now we have a margin of 10 points in the Championship and, although there is a lot of Championship still to go, I think we’re in the right path. Now we’re going to work hard to be prepared for France and follow this trend. Today I only had a problem in zone 8, with 3 mistakes. I didn’t take the right line and I received 15 points. Luckily, the rest of the trial went well and was able to manage my advantage “.

Takahisa Fujinami,
“At the beginning I was afraid my knee would not be well during this race. I made some mistakes, maybe because I didn’t have enough confidence. But as the race went on my knee didn’t bother me. It was a pity that I didn’t do a good first lap, especially with the mistakes in zones 4 and 7, as I could have improved my position. Nevertheless, despite the final result I’m happy with the work we did. It was very easy to fail “.
