The Repsol Classic Team’s two Renault Alpines managed to classify among the first ten in the Isla de Mallorca Rally, one of the Spanish competitions included in the international calendar of classic car competitions, and which saw a substantial amount of inscriptions from Spanish teams, though mainly from German teams.
This was the first competition for the recently formed team, and the goal was to continue with work setting up the Renault Alpines recently acquired, which are undergoing work on their preparation and equipment by MC Competición, one of the most prestigious technicians in Spanish competitions, both in the world of classic cars and in the Spanish GT Championship.
The two white Alpines with the Repsol Classic Team colours hardly gave any mechanical problems throughout the competition, and only a few adjustments to the suspension were necessary to adapt its geometry to the characteristics of the Michelin Xas tyres which the French company currently manufactures following the same criteria as in the 70’s, to guarantee maximum historical fidelity of the cars. The Repsol Classic Team with continue with its programme of international competitions, which at the start of April will take it to the Catalonia Circuit, to participate in the legendary competitions of the Le Mans Series.
