Biography

Previous titles and arrival at Repsol Montesa Honda Team

Born on 4 February 2000 in the town of O Rosal (Pontevedra), Gabriel Marcelli makes his debut with the Repsol Honda team in 2022, as one of the great promises of this sport, after winning the Spanish Championship four times in the lower categories and becoming Trial2 World Champion in 2019.

During the last two seasons he has competed in the Outdoor Trial World Championship and in the X-Trial, where this last season he finished 4th in the Indoor competition.

First year with the team

In 2022, the young Galician was fifth in the X-Trial championship, where his best position was a second place in the Madrid indoor.

At the end of September 2022, Marcelli repeated fifth position in the TrialGP Championship, being fourth his best race position. The Repsol Honda rider also participated in the Spanish Trial Championship where he was third overall. Marcelli was on the podium in five races out of the seven contested.

A step forward

In 2023, Gabriel Marcelli confirmed himself among the best riders in the speciality, regularly placing himself in the top positions and challenging his team-mate Toni Bou for victory in several races, putting him in serious trouble. He came close to finishing runner-up in the national championship and progressed race by race in both the X-Trial and TrialGP World Championships, finishing third in all three competitions.
