Rossi: ‘Now the competition is a lot more hard and the battle is good’.
Valentino Rossi: As I said all along this season is going to be a long battle. We arrive at the beginning of last year in good shape at it is possible to make good results fast. Now the competition is a lot more hard and the battle is good. We have a great team who is working hard so that we stay ahead in the championship. The Sachsenring has never been my favourite track but it is important to go for the holiday break in a good position. It will be a tough weekend and I am looking forward to re charge the batteries before the second part of the season. Nicky Hayden: Were now over half way through the season and Im really enjoying it and learning heaps. Of course I would like to be higher in the championship and am really aiming that way. Im feeling much more confident on the bike and know I have the potential of finishing higher and running with the top guys. The test weve just had at Brno was good; we tried some new things and it was all going in the right direction. Im really excited about the rest of the season. Ive got the Suzuka 8-hour and well be riding at several of the tracks Ive already tested at thatll be good. Fonsi Nieto: Im very happy for the result in Donington. Its been a victory for the team and a push forward for my sprit, after the bad season start. Now everything is turning back to its place; you could see that in the last races. Weve made a big step forward, were second in the overall standings and fifteen points behind the leader. We cannot lower our guard if we want to have options for the title. Germany is a circuit Im quite good at, but its not one of my favourites. Last year I took the pole and I was fastest in all of the practices but I made a bad start in the race and had to settle for fourth. Ill give it all in this Grand Prix to be again on the highest step of the podium.Toni Elias: The Sachsenring is a circuit I like and I also think its very amusing. I hope to make a good race because I havent had much luck in the last races. Two years ago I finished second in the 125cc, and last year ninth in the 250cc, but it wasnt a good result because I crashed twice during the practice sessions and broke a bone of my left hand. Although the most import are this years results and my aim is to shorten the gap to Poggiali. There are a lot of races left and several points at stake so the Championship is still open to all of us.Dani Pedrosa: ‘What happened in Donington is already forgotten and now we have to look forward and focus on the coming German Grand Prix. The Sachsenring circuit is not one of my favourites, weve always had problems on this track, especially with regard to the settings of the bike. This year were working a lot on the suspensions and we have a new technician, so I hope to be able to solve our problems before the next race and improve our results.
