Laia Sanz has endorsed her tenth Female Trial World Championship title, won last Saturday, with a win in the third and last point-scoring trial, contested today at the same venue where the Trial of Nations will be held this weekend. This latest win has allowed her to finish undefeated both in the world championship competition and the continental, in which she took her ninth crown this August, all consecutive.
Across a number of zones in which the wet and mud increased the event’s scant level of difficulty, Laia Sanz set the best point-scores in the two rounds. She was penalised three points in the first run of the different sections which made up this trial and completed the second lap with the scorecard at zero points, beating British riders Rebekah Cook and Joanne Coles.

“I finished the World Championships just as I wanted to, with another win. It would have been hard to accept any other result, all the more when, with the title already mine, I didn’t have any pressure other than my own expectations. It was the best way to finish off my two main objectives: the World and European titles. It’s also the time to thank the team, who have made a major contribution to these successes, for all their hard work”.
