Laia Sanz rounds off her eleventh world title

Another victory for Laia Sanz in the last round of the Females Trial World Championship

Laia Sanz was the winner of the round that this Friday concluded in Italy another edition of the Females Trial World Championship. The Repsol rider, that in the last round had already secured her eleventh title of the series, closed the championship unbeaten. Of the 25 rounds of the World Championship where she has competed, the multiple champion has 24 victories and one second position.

The rider of the Repsol Montesa Honda Team signed the best score in the two laps held on dry track and with a searing heat. After the first lap she was already on her way to victory, as she had only been penalized with one point after finishing the different areas. In the second lap —despite finishing with six points— she was again better than all her rivals, thus confirming her third victory of the three rounds held this season.

Laia Sanz
“I am happy with this new victory and for finishing this championship unbeaten, I would not have wanted to do it in any other way. Nevertheless, I think this time I was not very good and I could have been better. Up to now I have accomplished two of my main objectives, to win again the World Championship and the European Championship, now I only need to complete them with a victory tomorrow at the Females Trial of the Nations. If I achieve that, I could not ask for more”.
