The Repsol rider becomes champion for the second year in a row
Five out of five. This is the excellent result after which the Repsol KTM rider Marc Coma was proclaimed last Friday 10th November, in Dubai, Raid World Champion for the second year in a row. Coma, who won early this year the Lisbon-Dakar Rally for the first time, kept a very high level throughout the season, participating in five rounds and clinching five victories in the Raid World Championship, the regulation of which awards the fastest rider of the Championship.
Since the five best results of every rider are scoring, the victories of the 2005 World Champion in the Patagonia-Atacama (Argentina and Chile), Sardinia, Morocco, Egypt and Dubai Raids, allowed the Repsol rider to take his second consecutive title in the Raid World Championship, an unbeatable result for one of the future leading riders of the 2007 Lisbon Dakar Rally.
