The two testing days scheduled for yesterday and today at the Estoril circuit for Marc Márquez and his team concluded successfully this afternoon for the Repsol rider, which leaves Portugal after spending nearly a week in Portugal. In this last day of work, Márquez was able to take advantage again of the good weather conditions to do another 70 laps with a fastest time of 1 minute, 41 seconds and 1 tenth.
Together with the 80 laps he did yesterday, Emilio Alzamora’s pupil had a total of 600 kilometres of test in two intensive days where he tested different set-up solutions for his Moto2. The Repsol rider also tested some new evolutions supplied by the Swiss maker Suter, which allowed him to gather more information for the next races. These tests will also allow his team to know better about the requirements of the current 125cc Champion, gathering a valuable experience for the rest of the season.
When he was about to finish the day, the Repsol rider had a small crash without consequences in the last corner of the Portuguese track. Márquez lost traction on the rear tyre and fell, although he was not injured and there were no important damages on his Moto2.

“We followed the testing plan we started yesterday, testing new configurations and different technical aspects that will allow us to improve steadily. During both days we gathered very valuable data that will undoubtedly be useful for the next races and I am really satisfied with the performance level I achieved together with my team. We can get back home pleased with the job we did. Today I had a small crash in the last corner of the circuit but overall I am happy with the feelings I had on the bike during these two training days”.
