Marc Márquez’ personal review of the season

At the end of each World Championship race, the Repsol rider wrote a brief comment to sum up the Grand Prix. Here is the finished mural.

After every one of the 17 Moto2 World Championship races this season, Marc Márquez has undertaken the same ritual. When the action finished on track, the Repsol rider returned to a specific place in his garage. There, the team had put up a mural with all the circuits on the calendar drawn on it, for Márquez to sum up his weekend in a phrase alongside each.

The result is a personal review of the season from the World Champion:

  • Qatar – 1st – We’ve seen this race in every colour! Thanks team!
  • Jerez – 2nd – A very tricky weekend. Thinking about the championship.
  • Estoril – 1st – Now we’ve won here! Happy Mothers’ Day!
  • Le Mans – Fall – First life used up. Be careful in the wet!
  • Montmeló – 3rd – No comment… it could have been worse. Great race by my brother!
  • Silverstone – 3rd – Pulling it back. The entire race at 100%.
  • Assen – 1st – The reward for keeping patient at all times. VICTORY!
  • Sachsenring – 1st – A complete weekend! Bike, pole and VICTORY!
  • Mugello – 5th – A tough race. Eleven points are better than none.
  • Indianapolis – 1st – We haven’t been on holiday. What a great job! Thanks team!
  • Brno – 1st – More than just a win. Points are won on Sunday!
  • Misano – 1st – CHE SPETTACOLO! And what a last lap!
  • Motorland – 2nd – The home fans deserve this show! It continues…
  • Motegi – 1st – Judge for yourselves… I will be engage first gear next time!
  • Sepang – Fall  – Second life used up. Time to move on to Australia!
  • Phillip Island – 3rd – Two unforgettable years with this great team! WORLD CHAMPIONS! Thanks for everything!
  • Ricardo Tormo – 1st – We had to finish with a race fit for a CHAMPION!
